Ever since I could remember, I’ve been passionate about how “stuff” worked. Every Christmas season, I’d anticipate the weekend my parents would take my sister and I to see The Nutcracker. I’d stare at Mother Ginger’s giant hoopskirt and wonder, “how’d they do that?” Since then, figuring out how “theatre magic” works keeps me going, keeps me thinking, keeps me passionate.

Growing up in Illinois with Chicago as my backyard, the experiences I’ve gained from local arts opportunities have been invaluable. I’ve been able to see professional theatre from a young age, and for that I am incredibly grateful.

As a stage manager, I get to showcase this incredible magic, all while prioritizing a safe, welcoming environment for everyone involved in a production. I value my ability to anticipate needs and adapt in stressful environments, supporting others in their craft so we can all do our best work.

I hope in wherever I go next, I can keep thinking, keep creating, and keep figuring out how “stuff” works.
